Dr Erick Du Raan
Training
Dr Du Raan graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a degree in Dentistry in 2001 and earned his post-graduate Diploma, M.Sc Orthodontics and specialist qualification, the Masters in Orthodontics from the University of the Western Cape, being a nominee as the best Masters student of his year group.
Membership
Dr Du Raan is a professional member of the South African Society of Orthodontists and a registered specialist in orthodontics with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
Interests
Orthodontics has been the passion of Dr Du Raan’s whole professional career, being the driving force in obtaining 4 qualifications and providing a fulfilling work experience.
Dr Du Raan loves to live life to the fullest with his spouse Maretha and three sons. When he’s not practicing, he can often be found jogging, hiking and enjoying a relaxed braai with family or friends.
Maycke Cook
Training
I have a Dental Hygiene Diploma. I graduated on the 4th January 2008 from the University of the Western Cape. I have been in private practice for my entire carrier. I practice the Orthodontic field in the past 3 and half years.
Membership
I am a professional member of OHASA (Oral Hygiene Association of South Africa) and HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa).
Interests
Dental Hygiene has been my passion all these years. I am tri-lingual, German, English and Afrikaans. I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, Quintin and my 2 boys (Junior and Luke), then also time with close family & friends.
We like being out and about on weekends, doing fun activities. I love cooking, baking when I have the time.
Chandre Mellet
Training
I matriculated from Durbanville High School in 2018 whereafter I filled the position of administrator and receptionist at a sales company. I was subsequently employed as a dental assistant and receptionist for a dental practice in Durbanville.
I received all my training as a dental assistant and receptionist at this dental practice.
I am looking forward to my new journey with Dr Erick Du Raan and his staff in this wonderful environment.
Interests
I have always had a passion for working with people. I am passionate about helping and comforting those around me, therefore my bubbly personality and friendly smile help those in need.
I love making my personal and work environment the best environment possible and strive to be a better version of myself by learning and living life to the fullest every day.
